Kindergarten
Kindergarten artist have been busy! After studying lines and creating magic carpets, we moved on to landscapes! Using painted book pages (donated from the Baraboo Public Library) we cut out geometric shapes and created landscapes of our houses. Next up: Family Portraits!

First grade studied Dia de los Muertos, a Spanish Holiday before getting messy with some clay. Keep an eye out for decorated paper sugar skulls! Check out the Classroom Resources tab to view the sweet video describing Dia de los Muertos.
Second Grade
Second grade artists are taking a trip to Egypt as we start our unit on Egyptian art. Hieroglyphics, Amulets, and Mummies... Oh my!
Third Grade
Third grade is still working on their Recycled Robot. Thanks to everyone who helped donate their recycled materials! After we finish a few layers of papier mache, we will start the painting process!
Fourth Grade
Fourth graders are learning about the Harlem Renaissance, and how it relates to many things, not just art. Looking at Jacob Lawrence and his painting style, artist started working on their colorful cityscapes. A fun surprise project is up next!
Fifth Grade
Fifth grade artist learned about Alexander Calder, the inventor of the Mobile before starting their own. Each artist was given the choice to make a Mobile (hanging sculpture with movement) or a Stabile (a standing mobile). You can feel the buzz of creativity as these students work hard to finish!
